config operates on the machine-local config.toml, selected by the global --config option or OUTFITTING_CONFIG when set.
wizard
Syntax: outfitting-manager config wizard
Guides first-time setup for the current platform. It asks where to save the config (pre-filled with the resolved default), selects a local checkout or remote Git source, reads its root outfitting.json, and lets you choose the profile or profiles for this machine. It previews and validates the generated config.toml without overwriting an existing file, then runs the equivalent of init to prepare state and validate or refresh the selected source.
After initialization, the wizard offers to apply declared packages and activate a declared Nix profile. Each operation requires its own confirmation; Nix lock publishing is disabled during the wizard. Declining an operation prints the command to run later. If source initialization fails, the generated config remains so it can be corrected and retried.
migrate
Syntax: outfitting-manager config migrate [--repo <path>]
Converts legacy config.json, byor.json, repo-path, or a local outfitting.json into config.toml. Existing legacy files are not deleted.
